PTTecofix held a Technical Workshop in Pico and Faial Islands
Workshop “Fixing, Laser Measurement and VMC”, which took place from the 6th to the 7th of September
Tecofix organized a workshop, which took place on the 6th and 7th of September, on Pico Island and Faial Island, respectively. The event was attended by our Technical Engineer Joselito Pereira, who addressed the following topics: Fixation, Laser Measurement and Controlled Mechanical Ventilation (CMV).
In the area of Fixing, we spoke about its constraints, the types of base materials where it’s applied, and the process of selecting the best fixing solution, given the needs of each project. Additionally, our SPIT mechanical and chemical fastening range was presented. Including the SPIT Xtrem range, made up of anchors with seismic certification. Of note were the gunpowder and gas direct fastening tools, the range of Simpson Strong-Tie metal connectors for wood and Zip-Clip steel cable suspension systems.
The Controlled Mechanical Ventilation system, also called CMV, was presented, the types of CMV that exists (single and double flow), its main advantages, and specificities to take into account when installing it.
Finally, the types of measurement (direct and indirect) and the 2D and 3D systems of Leica Geosystems were presented, as well as its extensive range of lasers and professional meters.
